As a representative of Place Showroom, the ideal candidate will have established relationships with specialty accounts throughout the territory. This is a dynamic position and will provide the candidate with the opportunity to work with amazing brands. The candidate should be a quick learner, self-starter, dependable, and proactive with the ability to excel under pressure.

The candidate shall participate in all major trade shows and markets along the South West, as well as service accounts through travel & road work in the territory. As Specialty Account Executive, the position focuses on building strategies to expand the candidate's sales through the assigned territory, assisting the brand and clients with their inventory and sales, and working in tandem with a supportive and innovative team.

Primary Duties:

  • Contemporary & young contemporary wholesale sales
  • Participate in product knowledge seminars with designers
  • Travel to trade shows and throughout assigned territory
  • Identifying new business opportunities
  • Develop strategies to maintain and increase the business

As an intern, you’ll have the benefit of working alongside a team of Showroom Coordinators and Account Executives to work on monitoring and tracking sample inventory, market preparation, daily administrative tasks and tradeshow attendance. Candidate should be hardworking, motivated and eager to take the initiative.

Tasks will include (but are not limited to):

  • Monitor and track inventory of samples
  • Work alongside team for completion of order confirmations and all order maintenance
  • Market Preparation, book and confirm appointments for upcoming market weeks and shows
  • Maintaining the appearance of the showroom before, during, and after appointments.
  • To become acquainted with each brand and familiarize oneself with their look book and line sheet format
  • Unpack, steam, and merchandise each collection according delivery to ensure proper presentation.
  • Participate in showroom appointments and assist Sales Reps with order & note-taking according to delivery and designer.
  • Learn our database program called Showroom Exchange as well as NuOrder and Joor which is used to create line sheets, place orders and
